Streaming Music via Torrent and NZB Files

Technology is wonderful, especially when it saves us time and headaches. This is true in the case of streaming audio files. Now, torrent streaming and nzb streaming offer alternatives to audio and video like never before. Were you affected by the piratebay lawsuit? Need another source for your music and movies? Look no further!

Torrent Streaming

Similar to streaming video, and much easier to do because of far the lower bandwidth requirements, you can now stream torrent music files. What this means is that essentially, you can use a torrent file to download mp3's, however the difference is that there is no waiting. The website Bitlet.org has a great utility that will play your mp3's as soon as you start the download.

Simply enter the address of the torrent file and start listening. BitLet.org runs off of java, which is likely already installed on your pc. (check it at this page)

NZB Streaming

NZB streaming is a bit older (but still a new concept) than torrent streaming and works in a very similar manner only you use a NZB file to stream the music, and you need a NZB usenet client.

You can download one here,

BinTube Streaming Usenet Reader

NZB files are nearly the same as torrents, and the process is the same. Search and Download an NZB file and launch it with the usenet reader program. The music will start playing as soon as the download starts. Once completed, you will also have a copy of everything you just downloaded.
